April 17 is not only Easter Sunday this year—it’s Jennifer Garner’s 50th birthday. Believe it or not, the Yes Day star will celebrate the milestone in a little over a month, and she recently revealed that she “can’t wait” for what’s in store—and the celebration she has planned.

“I turn 50… yeah, Easter Sunday,” she told Extra on the red carpet at the premiere of her latest movie, The Adam Project. The star is probably most excited to enjoy the day with her loved ones. “My family has tickets to come out. My parents and my sisters, nieces, and nephews. I don’t know what we’ll do, but I can’t wait,” she added.

In The Adam Project, Garner stars alongside good friend Mark Ruffalo, whom she worked with 18 years ago in 13 Going on 30. “I would never guess Jen is 50,” Ruffalo told Extra. He added that they had “such a good time” being back on-set together. “[It’s] like we never stopped working together. We just picked right back up,” he said.

Counting down to her 50th, Garner has set out to share 50 “somethings” that make her happy. She has a highlight reel of the moments on Instagram, and they range from buying coffee for a stranger to her daily workout to visiting her hometown of West Virginia. “Something I love: Green hills rising up to tell me I’m home,” she captioned a clip taken from her plane seat’s window. She also shared a snippet of her nectarine tree’s blossoms and fresh cinnamon rolls made for her kids (yum!).

Garner has always been one to share a hopeful perspective, but that seems to be something she’s really leaning into with age. On March 6, she shared an enlightening Instagram post with a simple bit of life advice.

“Something I tell myself: Take it easy,” she wrote. “Every day is an opportunity to reevaluate and shift habits, to connect, to mend, to look for flow. It’ll be ok. ??”

And when it comes to aging, Garner isn’t worried about looking a certain way. She’d much rather focus on putting kindness into the world. That’s what she said when she recently shared her beauty philosophy with Extra. It’s simple: “Beauty is as beauty does,” she said. “Don’t look in the mirror, look out at other people.”

The actress has also previously shared her passion for “looking normal” in a world where fillers and Botox seem to take precedence. “I want to look normal and I want to normalize looking normal. I always have felt really strongly about that,” she told Today in December. It’s an attitude she gleaned from her mother.

“She said as you get older, the temptation is to stare into the mirror and focus on what’s changing, and here’s the secret: Don’t look!” she told Glamour last year. “Just care less, be grateful that you’re getting older, and use the time you have to be leaving the world a little bit better.”

And that’s exactly what Garner is doing.
