Jennifer Lawrence has been sporting the same choppy lob for quite some time now. After her dramatic haircut back in 2013, Lawrence has kept her hair short and sophisticated, rarely looking back at her younger years of wearing longer locks. However, that all changed when, on Monday, Lawrence was spotted walking through LAX with her dog, Pippi, and some seriously long hair, making the actress look a lot like her much younger self (think pre-Hunger Games days).

The 26-year-old’s hair was long enough to reach well below her shoulders. Dressed in typical preflight attire — comfortable black sweat pants with a black top — Lawrence looked a lot different from the red-carpet glam we’ve been seeing her in lately. See her look for yourself, below:

While the reason for the hair change-up hasn’t been confirmed, Lawrence does have two movies coming out in 2017, so we can’t help but wonder if the extensions are for her upcoming roles. Nonetheless, Lawrence’s new hair is certainly a good look for the star. Her hair extensions are beautifully blended, making them appear natural even without having to put a ton of time into styling them.

According to Hairdo’s ambassador, Kristina Barricelli, the key to blending short hair like Lawrence’s into lengthy extensions is to use different lengths to layer them in. “Use two different lengths of extensions, and clip in the shorter lengths at top to blend with your natural hair,” she tells Yahoo Beauty. “For example, if you have shoulder-length hair and are aiming for length that falls at the middle of your back, use both 18-inch and 16-inch extensions.”

Knowing Lawrence, the extensions won’t be in for long, and we can’t wait to see what the star has in store for us next.
