Jennifer Lopez is one of those celebs who always looks glamorous. Whether she's on the red carpet or walking around town, she knows how to dress to impress. Lopez is no stranger to a sky-high heel, but she's such a stunner that she even turns heads when she's wearing simple flip-flops. Recently, she was spotted wearing Tkees sandals while hanging out in the Hamptons; first she wore them while bike riding (skills!), and a few days later she paired them with a black jumpsuit. Luxe leather flip-flops that are good enough for J.Lo? We're intrigued!
The elevated leather construction and eye-catching metallic color make these flip-flops a bit more dressy than what you'd buy at Old Navy (no shade to those classics). Not only can you pair them with shorts and capris, but they'll look great with your summer dresses and skirts.
Tkees is one of those brands that does one thing really well: simple basics. Instead of chasing trends and fads, Tkees focuses on classic, everyday pieces people can wear for years. If you're having a hard time wrapping your mind around $60 for a pair of flip-flops, that's understandable. But these aren't those throwaway rubber styles that come undone if you walk too fast. Rather, Tkees' beloved flip-flops are made from durable coated leather that's designed to last. And though the sole is slim, it does have some cushioning to give your foot a soft landing with each step.
Shoppers at Zappos give the sandals 4 out of 5 stars, with more than 50% giving them a perfect five-star rating.
"I don't know how they make a flat shoe so comfortable, but they are," one shopper raved. "My friend and I were talking about that when we got pedicures last week. I wouldn't normally want to pay so much for flip-flops, but the comfort plus style makes it worth it. I have them in gold and silver I like them so much."
Another customer commented, "[These sandals are] true size, delicate, light and super comfortable. Every time I wear them, I receive a compliment or two. Wonderful summer purchase."
Before you take the plunge, it's worth noting that several shoppers needed to size up, and others suggested they weren't very supportive.
"Love these! I am a true 7 1/2, I ordered the 8 and they fit perfect! [There's] no way I could have worn a 7, so size up ladies. I'm about to order another pair in a different shade," one shopper wrote.
"These are adorable, they really dress up your feet," another reviewer said. They went on to add, "Probably not the best for support, but a great fashion flip-flop."
