Jennifer Lopez Wore a Corset Wedding Dress During Her Performance at the AMAs

There were plenty of over-the-top style moments at the 2021 American Music Awards last night (Cardi B's gold opera mask, the naked dress worn by Olivia Rodrigo), but nothing quite compared to Jennifer Lopez's wedding gown during her performance at the event.

J.Lo first took the stage wearing a black dress with white detailing to perform the ballad "On My Way" from the soundtrack of her upcoming film Marry Me, before disappearing behind a screen and stepping out in a bridal-inspired number. The dress featured a corseted bodice in a semi-sheer fabric that was complemented by a puffy tulle skirt and a contrasting silk sash. And rather than wearing traditional wedding heels, J.Lo slipped on an edgier pair of nude stiletto lace-up boots.

Underneath her bedazzled veil, J.Lo's hair was slicked back into a polished bun that was fully revealed when she threw her headpiece into the audience like a bouquet of flowers.

Her wedding-worthy performance came just days after Lopez said she would be open to getting married again. "I don't know," Lopez said during a recent interview on the Today show. "Yeah, I guess. You know me, I'm a romantic, I always have been, a few times. I still believe in happily ever after, for sure, 100%." In her new film, there are parallels to J.Lo's own life, as she portrays a famous singer who has been married multiple times.

"If you can't laugh at yourself and just take it as it comes, I just don't think about those things," Lopez said about the similarities between her and her character. "I feel like I'm a human being like everybody else. I've had my ups and downs, I've made mistakes and I'm really proud of where I've come to in my life and who I am as a person, as a mom, and as an actor and as an artist. So yeah it's OK, everybody's got that."
