Jenny La Fata Debuts New Contemporary Brand Lafata for Spring 2025
“It’s kind of like the hot mom drop-off [outfit],” Jenny La Fata told WWD during a preview of her new contemporary label Lafata.
After cutting her teeth in the industry for more than 25 years, working for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Jill Stuart, Daryl K, LaRok and more, La Fata unveiled her new namesake, made-in-New York label during New York’s spring 2025 market at CD Network, where it was picked up by Hampden, Tootsies and Ikram.

La Fata said the brand is for the affluent woman who’s on the go.
“Running to the board meeting, dropping her kids off, but still wants to look fabulous, effortless and cool,” she said, describing her style as fluid and easy, but polished. Prices range from $200 for tops and Ts to $495 for the Frankie oversized shirt with embellishments to $795 for the Everything blazer.
The line blends ‘80s and ‘90s surf and skate culture (with a little nod to club days) with sophisticated classics, as seen through through black, yellow or pink leather miniskirts with cotton pin-striped button-downs; Italian denim washed in Los Angeles, and a white suit made up of a little bustier top, tailored blazer and skate shorts. Throughout spring, La Fata blends utilitarian details with sleek tailoring, resulting in travel-friendly tops and bottoms, like wide-leg carpenter pants, in a mix of European and Japanese fabrications such as bi-stretch scuba, ponte and bonded neoprene.
The Lafata spring collection will start to drop on Feb. 28; going forward, La Fata plans to release two collections a year, for spring and fall, and is open to releasing smaller drops in-between for speciality retail partners. The brand will plans to roll out its direct-to-consumer business in February.
