Jeremy Allen White Joins the 'Shameless' Cast on the Picket Line
The Shameless cast, or at least a handful of them (there were a lot of Gallaghers), reunited on the picket line in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike on Thursday. Noel Fisher, who played Ian Gallagher's long-time love, Mickey Milkovich, shared proof of the gathering on his Instagram page. "On the line with the family!" he wrote.

Marching alongside Fisher were Shanola Hampton, who played Veronica on the show, Isidora Goreshter, who played Svetlana, Steve Howey (Kevin), Zach McGowan (Jody) and one Jeremy Allen White, who brought us troubled genius Lip Gallagher. (Fisher's girlfriend, Layla Alizada, was also there, but she never appeared on the series.)
Shameless ran for eleven seasons, from 2011 to 2021, but White is best known these days for his role in The Bear, in which he portrays another tortured, Chicago-based soul, Carmy Berzatto. Although it's nice to see White finally getting the recognition he deserves—and on a truly fantastic series—it's also nice to see him repping the wildly underrated show that first introduced longtime fans to his baby blues. After all, a Gallagher doesn't forget his roots.

Absent from the mini-reunion were stars Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, Emma Kenny, Cameron Monaghan, Ethan Cutkosky and Christian Isaiah. Alas, there's always tomorrow.
