Jeremy Renner has taken his near-fatal accident and turned it into something positive.
The Marvel star took to Instagram on Oct. 18 to announce his next project—inspired by various points throughout his healing journey ever since he was crushed by his snow plow on New Year's Day—and revealed that he's working up the courage to put it out someday.
Alongside a photo of an album cover titled Love and Titanium, over which the word "Soon" was emblazoned, he wrote, "A collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year." He described the process as "painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic," going on to tag those who collaborated with him on the album: Grammy-winning producer Walter Afanasieff, songwriter Lee Anna James, producer Brandon Sammons, producer Jason Mater, and Jeffrey Teodoro Bonilla.
Those who worked on it with him or got a sneak peek made sure to hype him up over the album.
"I hope you are so proud of this exquisite body of work. You are an absolute inspiration," music journalist Allison Hagendorf wrote in response.
"What an incredible piece of art we made brother! ????????????," James said.
"This album should be Sponsored by @kleenex ?????????? So good, inspiring and you will cry your eyes out! ????," Katie Cazorla, who owns The Kookaburra Lounge, warned.
Meanwhile, fans were already in awe of the upcoming tunes, despite never having heard them.
"as someone who has a titanium rod that replaced their femur due to cancer, i can already feel a special connection to this song. it means more than you'll ever know to me. i can't wait to hear it, jeremy. much love to you and your music??," one wrote.
"The most beautiful sunrises come after the darkest storms. I truly wish the accident never happened and you never had to go through that traumatic journey, but the courage and strength you have shown is inspiring. If you decide to share it, I look forward to hearing it! ??????" said another.
"Thank you for your courage, you deserve the best and I am glad that step by step you achieve everything you set out to do! it inspires me! thank you for always sharing ????," another comment read.
"I cannot wait for this!!! I listen to your music on repeat constantly. I've been going through my own similar journey, so I know this will be everything to me. Love love the title! ????????????????????????," the praise continued.
If you need a refresher, Renner was out trying to help get his nephew's car out of the snow at his home on Jan. 1, 2023, when he got sucked under his own plow's track in an attempt to stop the machine from hitting his nephew.
Though he spent only a couple of weeks in the hospital, he broke over 30 bones and spent several months walking with the assistance of a cane.
