New Jersey Shore dog beach guide: Where can your pup play?
Want to take your furry friend to the beach? Make sure you know which beaches allow dogs and when.
Each Jersey Shore beach has specific rules for dogs. While most require dogs to be leashed, some beaches, like Asbury Park and Bradley Beach, allow dogs off-leash in designated areas. Other beaches, like those in Brick, Lavallette and Seaside Park, don't allow dogs at all.
With the summer season approaching, most beaches won't allow dogs during swimming hours or won't allow them at all. Some bay beaches, like Fisherman's Cove in Manasquan, allow dogs year-round with no restrictions.
