“Oh, yeah. 100%!” she says. “I mean, one of the best parts of having a kid is stealing from them, torturing them, embarrassing them. It’s so fun!”

RACHAEL: Are your girls excited for baby brother?

JESSICA: They are. My 6-year-old, she was worried about being a middle child, but she gets to be a big sister and a little sister, so she’s stoked about that. And she doesn’t have to compete with another girl.

RACHAEL: Was having a boy part of the motivation behind trying for one more?
JESSICA: Well, you never know what you’re going to get. For me, the girls love their dad. I wanted someone to love me more. When he comes home, they’re like, “Daddy!” It’s like a party. When I come home, they’re like, “Oh, hey mom.” I’m like, “I do everything for you! I cook, I do all the things!”

RACHAEL: Do you have a favorite Halloween candy? Did you steal any from your kids?
JESSICA: Oh, yeah. 100%. I mean, one of the best parts of having a kid is stealing from them, torturing them, embarrassing them. It’s so fun!
