Jessica Simpson shares stunning Instagram selfie twinning with Ashlee Simpson Ross
The Simpson sisters still know how to turn heads. On April 29, Jessica Simpson shared an Instagram photo posing with her “ride or die,” Ashlee Simpson Ross. The singers rocked matching flirty gazes, gold jewelry and complementary neutral-toned outfits in their glam selfie.
“Got glammed up with my ride or die last night,” the 41-year-old captioned the photo. “Ash and I each have 3 kiddos and danced like we were in our 20’s again. So. Much. Fun…Sister Pride.”
The former Newlyweds star tagged Hervé Léger as the designer of her cinnamon-toned cross-strap halter dress. She also tagged her hair and makeup artists in the post.
The twinning blondes received a lot of love on their selfie from friends and fans. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga commented “pretty sisters” on the post. Jessica’s longtime B.F.F. CaCee Cobb commented two fire emojis.
The fashion mogul and mom-of-three previously opened up about how the “men in suits” that have underestimated her. In her memoir Open Book, Simpson admitted that she enjoys "catching people off guard.” She revealed, “That is one thing about me — I know how to say something that will drop a jaw."
The Texan explained how she used that ability launching the Jessica Simpson Collection.
"Being underestimated … it’s like a shield," Simpson wrote in the book, noting that she was overlooked and not viewed as a threat. "It makes you want to soar over everyone. But really, it’s better to do it patiently.”
"So many men in suits have made me feel underestimated, at this point I just have to laugh, like, 'Oh, you need a hug,'" Simpson continued. "I can’t even think of one moment in particular because it’s happened my whole career. I was always the little girl who had to come in and sit with men in suits, you know? But now I get to wear the suit."
In March 2022, Simpson was on the cover of Entrepreneur and shared the image plus some good advice on her Instagram. Her words of wisdom? "Let them underestimate you."
"Don’t put too much pressure on yourself because it’s never make-or-break, you know?" she advised in the caption of the Instagram post. "There’s always a way to make that break. Let time move a little slower so you learn and grow along the way. Then, by the time you get there, you’ll be ready."
