Jessica Simpson in ‘Denial’ After Her Kid Walked in on Adult Time With Husband
After being married for almost a decade, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson put in a lot of effort to keep their romance exciting. But this can get extra complicated when there are three kids in the house.
While speaking with Access Hollywood at PetSafe’s Unleashed event for International Dog Day, Simpson opened up about the struggles she and Johnson face finding alone time with their kids around: "Now it's like our kids are so old. It's like, wow, they're gonna walk in on hanky panky time. So what do we do, how do we do this? Where do we go?"
Unfortunately, she revealed that it's already happened before, with Simpson sharing that she and Johnson are "in denial" about the situation. She added, "As is the child, so it's not really been something that we've talked about."
While she didn't say which child it was, the Open Book author admitted that it wasn't her son Ace, 10, saying, "I did just have to fill my middle child in on certain things, but luckily he didn't walk in. I think he would stand there and be like, 'What are you doing?' He would literally talk to us."
Along with Ace, the couple shares daughters Maxwell, 11, and Birdie, 4.
Despite the difficulties, Simpson still adores her husband, divulging, "He'll leave me little notes, because he'll wake up earlier than me. He'll leave me little letters."
"There's a lot of things that make me like, 'I can't wait to get my hands on him later.' I think you have to have those little things as a couple that are just between you two," Simpson concluded.
Simpson and Johnson first started dating in 2010, and they welcomed Maxwell in 2012. The couple tied the knot a couple of years later in July 2014.
