Jessica Simpson celebrates losing 100 pounds after giving birth: ‘Yes, I tipped the scales at 240’
During her latest pregnancy, Jessica Simpson documented her swollen ankles and exposed baby bump. Now, six months after giving birth to daughter Birdie Mae, the mom of three is celebrating a 100-pound weight loss.
The 39-year-old proudly shared a photo of her slim post-baby body with her Instagram followers on Tuesday, revealing that she’s shed 100 pounds since welcoming her baby girl. The former reality star also told fans that she had “tipped the scales” at 240 pounds during her pregnancy.
Simpson said she is “so proud to feel like myself again,” adding, “Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder.” She did not divulge her diet or workout routine, though she has been a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers in the past.
The former pop star’s big reveal has been met with praise from the likes of January Jones, brother-in-law Evan Ross, and Katie Couric, who said she looked “amazing.” Fans are also showing support.
“Love your honesty,” one wrote. “You’re such a positive role model for mamas and women!”
“The way you are able to snap back after pregnancy is just amazing,” read another comment. “Congratulations to you on the hard work.”
“You look amazing — but you always have regardless of your size!” a follower added. “Way to work hard and take care of yourself.”
