Jimmy Fallon Likens Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Romance to Paris Bedbug Outbreak in Skit
As The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon returned to TV this week, host Jimmy Fallon jumped right in, catching up on all of the big pop culture moments happening lately, including everything going on with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
In a funny skit he performed on the show, Fallon had his audience laughing as he dressed up as a stereotypical French person, with a beret, baguette, glass of wine and accent. He sang a tune about the bedbug infestation going on in Paris, France right now, before he compared them to the Swift and Kelce romance and the public's fascination with it.
The song started, "Bonjour, it is me. There are bugs in Paris, that are bigger than fleas, and they make you itchy." It went on, talking about Paris Fashion Week and how Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are dating, before turning back around to the bedbugs.
Fallon sang, out "But the bedbugs, OMG! They are really icky. Everywhere they will be, just like Swift and Kelce," leading the audience to cheer and clap.
The Oct. 3 video was captioned, "French President Macron sings a song about the Parisian bedbug outbreak. #FallonTonight."
People found the clip funny, and while many highlighted the French clichés, they didn't seem to mind too much, as a French fan joked, "I find it very funny, I'm just offended by this ugly fake baguette though... ?? Please respect us."
Another wrote, "Ahahahah I love it! So this is how you see us?? Perfect ??," translated from French, while a few actually thought Fallon sounded Italian instead.
Like Fallon's joke about Swift and Kelce being talked about everywhere, the possible relationship between the two continues to be a trending topic in media. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end even called out the NFL for "overdoing it" with its coverage about them during a recent podcast episode.
