Fixer Upper fans can unanimously agree that every home renovation done on the hit HGTV show seemed to top the last, but Joanna Gaines revealed that there’s one particular makeover that actually holds a special place in her heart.

"The details and style of this week's Fixer Upper house may be one of my all time favorites!" the mother of five wrote on Instagram. Fixer Upper’s Season 5, Episode 5 was dedicated to the Aguilar family, who had recently moved to Waco, Texas, from Puerto Rico.

The family of four needed enough space for their two kids and wanted a modern Mediterranean vibe—dubbed "Moditerranean" by the Gaines—which inspired Jo to use natural elements throughout the home decor, including stone and wood. The interior designer then supplemented this with stucco, jute, quartz, and fresh greenery details.

To open up the space, the Magnolia empire owner enlisted the help of her husband—aka the other half of the home reno duo—Chip Gaines to extend the main room, creating a combo dining and living room. They also added arched windows and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams.

"By incorporating these two elements into a clean, open space, the whole room instantly feels like a major transformation," Joanna explained on her Magnolia blog. Meanwhile, countertop-to-ceiling quartzite backsplash gave an interesting texture to the kitchen, while warm wood prevented the room from feeling cold and sterile.

However, it was the bedroom that featured the details Joanna was most proud of. It was Chip's idea to convert the garage into a master suite, but it was Jo’s design that took it to the next level.

"The first thing your eye is drawn to in the master bedroom is the stonework on the focal wall. I love the variation of colors in the stone and how it balances out the modern, black french doors and light fixtures," she wrote. She paid special close attention to creating balance in the room by opting for soft accessories, like linen bedding and a jute rug.

It's clear why this home is one of Jo's all-time favorites, and that's no easy task given the entire series had a total of 79 episodes!
