It's still a long two months until Magnolia Table, Volume 2 hits store shelves. Thankfully, Joanna Gaines just made the wait until April 2 a little easier by sharing a recipe from the new book. With it came a confession: The lifestyle guru is "a firm believer that the more chocolate the better."

The first run of the Volume 2 arrived at Jo's office on Valentine’s Day, and she celebrated by baking her favorite dessert from inside: French Silk Pie. I have no doubt this chocolatey wonder was the perfect finish to husband Chip's steak dinner. Both parents pull out all of the stops for their kids to mark the special day.

"We celebrate Valentine’s Day a little differently around our house," Jo revealed in a new blog post. "Rather than Chip and I going out for dinner, we’ve made it a tradition to stay home with the kids and get all dressed up for a fancy meal."

"The kids are in charge of planning the menu, and they don’t take that job lightly (we ended up with 9 different dishes)," the mom of five added. "And I of course, don’t take dessert lightly, so I added in a second dessert last minute."

Because Jo loves chocolate, she went with a chocolate cookie crust for the pie. Her crust is made of 5 ounces of chocolate wafers. That means double the chocolate, double the fun.

Jo previously shared two sneak-peek recipes back in November: her kid-approved Friendsgiving Casserole with Holiday Cranberry Sauce. You can preorder her book now on Amazon. Here's hoping Jo surprises us with a new cooking show when Magnolia Network launches later this year!
