Joanna Gaines is stepping out for her first major public appearance since giving birth three months ago—and it's for the best reason ever.

The Fixer Upper alum gave fans the surprise of a lifetime on Thursday during Reese Witherspoon's visit to Magnolia Market. The HGTV star made an unexpected appearance to introduce and welcome Reese, as well as host Jenna Bush Hager, at the event for the actress's new book, Whiskey in a Teacup.

Though she and husband Chip are over-the-moon about baby Crew, Joanna joked that she was still getting back in the swing of things after welcoming their fifth child.

“I had to re-learn how to walk in heels because I’ve kind of been hiding under a rock for the last three months," she joked with the audience. "I kind of have a little bit of a baby fog, so I probably shouldn’t have the mic right now.”

Despite being deep in baby delirium, Joanna was thrilled to be there. “We are so excited to host this event tonight. If there’s anyone who can get me in a dress and heels, it’s Reese Witherspoon,” Joanna said.

Chip, who was also there and watching from above, gave Joanna a loud shout-out when she took the stage. "We love you Joanna!” Chip screamed from across the lawn.

It was just the sort of funny and sweet moment fans used to see on Fixer Upper. “I knew you’d be heckling me,” Joanna joked. "Love you too, Chip!"

While Joanna didn't remain on stage for Reese's chat with Jenna, which included the latest on her upcoming season of Big Little Lies and Legally Blonde 3, the three successful southern ladies commemorated the event with a photo in front of the rusty silos.

Y'all, it doesn't get more inspiring than this!
