Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Find 'Amicable Resolution' in Child Custody Battle

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are one step closer to finding their new normal amid their ongoing divorce.
During one of their days of mediation last week, the former couple reportedly found common ground in their custody battle over their two young daughters.
According to settlement papers obtained by TMZ, "an amicable resolution on all issues between them is forthcoming."
Since the Jonas Brothers star, 34, and Game of Thrones actress, 27, already had a prenuptial agreement, splitting up their assets was probably not a huge feat. However, custody of their children was a much bigger battle as the singer-songwriter wanted their daughters–Willa, 3, and Delphine, 14 months–to live in the United States, while Turner argued the estranged pair had made plans to find a permanent residence in the United Kingdom just months before their sudden breakup.
So the forthcoming "amicable resolution" most likely concerns the decision on where their two young kids will reside as, prior to last week's mediation, Jonas and Turner had only come to a temporary agreement on the matter, only meant to last as long as the two sift through the terms of their divorce.
Under the terms, their two kids will be with Turner from Oct. 9 through Oct. 21, and during that time, she's allowed to travel with them to England.
On Oct. 21, Turner is required to return with Willa and Delphine to the U.S., where Jonas will then take them through Nov. 2. The children will then go back to the U.K.-born actress until Nov 22, when she's set to bring them back to Jonas, who will presumably spend Thanksgiving with them. Turner was then granted custody of Willa and Delphine from Dec. 16 through Jan. 7, giving her Christmas and New Year's with the girls.
While the pair seem to be on the road to an agreement, it will likely be some time before a settlement is signed. That said, should the two find themselves unable to come to an agreement, a judge set Jan. 2, 2024 as the trial date for the former couple's custody battle, which is expected to last at least four days before terms are finalized.
