Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Issue Statement Following Custody Agreement

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are directly addressing the recent custody agreement that was temporarily put in place for their two children.
The soon-to-be-divorced couple—who are parents to daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 15, months—recently reached an agreement regarding the ongoing battle over where their children will reside.
The temporary agreement divvies up the kids' time from now until Jan. 7, with the children switching off between staying with Jonas, 34, in the U.S. and with Turner, 27, in the U.K.
After news of the agreement made headlines on Tuesday, Oct. 10, the former couple spoke out to address the situation directly.
"After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK," Jonas and Turner wrote in a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE. "We look forward to being great co-parents."
Under the terms of the new agreement, the two children will stay with Turner from Oct. 9 through Oct. 21, during which the Game of Thrones star is allowed to travel to England.
On Oct. 21, Turner or the children's nanny is required to return Willa and Delphine to the U.S., where Jonas will take them through Nov. 2.
The children will then go back to Turner until Nov 22, when she's set to bring them back to the Jonas Brothers singer, who will presumably spend Thanksgiving with them.
Turner was granted custody of Willa and Delphine from Dec. 16 through Jan. 7, giving her the Christmas and New Year's holidays to spend with her daughters.
If Jonas and Turner aren't able to come to a more permanent schedule by the end of the initial agreement period, a judge has scheduled a trial date for a formal custody battle as Jan. 2, 2024.
