John Krasinski Talking About How He Married Way Up Will Heal Your Cold, Broken Heart
It's been a dark few days (one day? How long has it been? It feels like many years) since Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their split. As if he knew you needed something, anything to hold on to, John Krasinski went on The Tonight Show pretty much to just talk about how great his wife and kids are. Also, he's promoting a movie or something.
Watch above as he tells Jimmy Fallon about how he knows he married up to Emily Blunt. To really hammer that point, he also tells the story of going to London to visit Emily while she "shot a movie, it's a small indie called Mary Poppins" and how a customs agent really did not believe he could be married to her.
Everything was going great, customs or whatever, and then I hit this guy who's about my age, he looked like he was ready to get a little surly with me. And he said 'it says here that you're an actor.' And I said 'yeah,' and he said 'would I know you from anything?' And I said 'you know, we re-did the U.K. version of The Office.' [That was] strike one ... he said 'who are you visiting here?' I said 'my wife.' And he says 'is she an actress?' And I said 'yeah' and he asked 'well, would I know her?' And I said 'I don't know, man, her name's Emily Blunt' and he goes [giggles] 'you? YOU? YOU married Emily Blunt?'
It's all very cute and funny. Enjoy. Pray. Rinse. Repeat.
