John Travolta's Daughter Reminds Him So Much of Late Wife Kelly Preston
John Travolta and his children are keeping the beautiful memories of their dearly departed wife and mom Kelly Preston alive.
In new footage uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 5, the couple's only daughter of three kids together, Ella, 23, was featured in a video posted by Travolta in honor of he and his late wife's would-be 32nd anniversary.
In the snippet—which was set to the tune of "The Shadow of Your Smile" by Andy Williams, a classic tune from 1965 film The Sandpiper—the young woman appeared in what looked to be a dressing room with grand mirrors all around, as she tried on an elegant maroon and white patterned dress. She then walked over to her dad, smiling sweetly for the camera as he recorded his "baby girl."
The "proud" father gushed over his legacy, whom seemingly reminded him of his longtime late partner, in the caption of the clip. "Our baby girl Ella in celebration of Kelly’s and my wedding anniversary - I’m so proud of you!! I know mama would be too!" he wrote.
John and Kelly also shared late son Jett, who died in 2009 at the age of 16, and additionally, are the parents of the youngest of their bunch, pre-teen son Benjamin, 12.
The pair first met in 1987 while filming The Experts, and later wed in a Parisian ceremony on Sept. 5, 1991.
Preston—whom starred in films such as Twins (1988), Jerry Maguire (1996), For the Love of the Game (1999), The Cat in the Hat (2003), and several others—passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 57, of breast cancer.
"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer," Travolta confirmed in a social media upload at the time. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many."
"Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered," the Grease actor added.
