Johnny Weir Packed 9 Suitcases and Tara Lipinski Brought 100 Pairs of Heels to Rio

Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir might not be skating in the Rio Olympics — but that doesn’t mean they’re not going for the gold.

The former professional figure skaters, who will be working as correspondents for NBC in Brazil over the next few weeks, both showed off on Instagram that they’re fierce competitors in the field of fashion, especially when it comes to packing. One look at their extensive wardrobe and you’ll be beyond shocked at how much they decided to bring.

While they probably left their skates in the States, the pair each brought more than enough equipment to last throughout their entire South America stint — and maybe even until Pyongyang 2018. Weir brought a whopping nine suitcases total, while Lipinski imported multiple racks of clothing and an estimated 100 pairs of high heels.

Fans found the images hilarious, saying things like, “I legit would not even come close to filling those bags with every article of clothing I own…Lol!” referring to Johnny’s bags and “I don’t think u have enough shoes, ??,” talking about Lipinski’s enormous shoe collection.

Meanwhile, the actual competitors for the Rio Olympics took a completely different approach in preparation for the games. Think less clothes, and more…beauty products. Ryan Lochte recently decided he’d dye his hair a shocking shade of white with icy blue undertones, so we’re guessing he’ll be loading up on a few platinum protection shampoos instead of outfits options.

With a wardrobe like that, we can’t wait to see the outfits they debut during the games!
