Johnstown AAUW to offer book discussion as part of Holocaust project

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown branch of the American Association of University Women, in conjunction with Hope Springs Eternal: The Holocaust Project, will present book discussions at the following locations:

? “The Dressmaker of Auschwitz” by Lucy Adlington at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Cambria County Library, 248 Main St., downtown Johnstown.

? “Rena’s Promise” by Rena Kornreich Gelissen at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Highland Community Library, 330 Schoolhouse Road, Richland Township.

? “Born Survivors” by Wendy Holden at 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Young Hearts Toys and Book Store, 828 Diamond Blvd., Suite 1, Southmont.

? “Irena’s Children” by Tilar Mazzeo at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at Classic Elements, 345 Main St., downtown Johnstown.

The books focus on the experiences of women during the Holocaust.

The books will be on display and available for purchase at each location as well as at Chameleon Bookstore, 144 Gazebo Park, Johnstown.
