Jourdan Dunn and Gigi Hadid Battle Over Lipstick in New Clip
Early this weekend, British model Jourdan Dunn took to social media to show off her latest contribution with Gigi Hadid to Maybelline’s advertising and marketing efforts. The behind-the-scenes clip reveals her as she wrestles with Gigi over a shade of lipstick from the cosmetics line, with the cheeky note: “Forget the boy is mine, The Lipstick is mine” to the strains of “Blow” by Beyoncé.

The post racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a few short hours. Reactions to the video from fans trend towards the positive (not always a given on social media):
“This is so cute ! I can’t stop watching it!” exclaimed one user, manthony783. Another user, raynelorelaiGigi, agreed. “Looks cute in the last part. Can’t stop watching it!”
Even behind-the-scenes players in the campaign couldn’t stop chiming in: “Snatched!!! But you girls made up in the end,” a storyline that stemmed from the account of Erin Parsons, the makeup artist for the video.
Others, like user bellerose31, noted that the ad subtly conveyed that a single lipstick shade looked equally stunning on models of differing complexions. “This is cool. A shade for different shades :)”
Gigi Hadid herself posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the shoot on her Instagram account, but Dunn was the first to reveal video.

Dunn has been a notable face of Maybelline since 2014, and Hadid joined the roster in 2015, but this isn’t the first time the two have collaborated. They famously came together in a Balmain x H&M line in fall 2015.
