Julia Garner Sparkles in Gucci Sequins at Golden Globes 2024
Julia Garner arrived on the red carpet for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, wearing a floor-length silver sequin dress with a plunging neckline and high waist from Gucci. She topped off her look with silver platform heeled sandals from Santoni. For accessories, she selected jewelry from Monica Vinader, including wrap earrings and a bangle.
To create her look for this evening’s Golden Globes ceremony, Garner worked with celebrity stylist Elizabeth Saltzman, who also works with Jodie Comer, Sandra Oh and Eiza Gonzalez.

Garner’s Gucci gown marks one of the first major Gucci looks worn for awards season since Gucci’s new creative director, Sabato De Sarno, officially took the helm of the brand with his first show in September during Milan Fashion Week. De Sarno succeeded Alessandro Michele, who left the brand in 2022 after seven years at its helm. In January, De Sarno was officially named creative director of Gucci.
“Sabato de Sarno is such a beautiful artist, but more importantly, he’s such a beautiful person inside,” Garner said to WWD. “I’ve gotten to know him the last few months, and I’m thrilled to be working with him.”
In March 2023, Garner became one of the faces of Gucci’s Horsebit 1955 handbag campaign, alongside Hanni and Halle Bailey. Garner also appeared in the Gucci Guilty campaign that season. Previously, the actress appeared in campaigns for Prada and Kate Spade New York.
At the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Garner also wore Gucci, opting for a pink corset gown with vertical stripe crystal embellishments. The actress took home the Golden Globe that year for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series — Musical-Comedy or Drama for her role on Netflix’s “Ozark.” The actress will serve as a presenter for this year’s Golden Globe Awards.
Garner is currently in post-production for “Apartment 7A” and “The Wolf Man.”
The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrate the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023. It is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by WWD parent Penske Media Corp.
