WSJ. Magazine hosted its ninth annual Innovator Awards on Wednesday night at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City to celebrate its November "Innovators" issue with a special awards ceremony that honored forward-thinking creatives — and the magazine's cover stars — across fashion, film, comedy, television and more.
The star-studded guest list featured everyone from Jerry Seinfeld, who presented the Entertainment award to Eddie Murphy, to Kim Kardashian West, who handed out the Fashion award to Riccardo Tisci.
Julianne Moore, who accepted an award for acting and activism, emerged as the sartorial highlight of the evening in a Celine by Hedi Slimane sequin cardigan dress. The ensemble was a glamorous take on the buttoned-up knit, which has proven to be a cold-weather staple this season. The frequently best-dressed redhead accessorized the sparkly number with a horsebit belt, an assortment of chunky silver rings and black calfskin boots.
Black seemed to be the color of choice among the fashion people in attendance at the event. Designers Tory Burch, Jason Wu, Joseph Altuzarra, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough were dressed head-to-toe in the dark hue, as were models Martha Hunt and Imaan Hammam.
