So Just FYI, Kate Middleton Wore a Birthday Fedora
Kate Middleton's birthday is coming up this week, and she and Prince William celebrated with friends this weekend.
They all went to church with the Queen, and Kate whipped out a fedora.
I have no idea how to break this news to you, so I'm just going to go ahead and say it: Kate Middleton is into fedoras now. As any true royal fan will know, the royal family is pretty into their hats—apparently, the Queen insists that hats are worn to formal engagements, which is also why you see so many fascinators and, er, interesting headwear at royal gatherings, like this:

But I digress! Back to Kate's fedora: As royal stans will also know, it's the Duchess' 38th birthday on Thursday, and she and Prince William reportedly decided to celebrate this weekend. The guest list included Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, Will's friend Tom van Straubenzee and his fiancée Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, and Rose Hanbury (aka Kate's "rural rival").
And I'm not sure what events you would put on your birthday weekend agenda, but Will and Kate decided have everyone join the Queen for a church service this morning, which, sure! And that's where Kate's birthday fedora comes in, which was blue and featured some type of feather trim:
And let's look at it from another angle, shall we:
Unclear if birthday fedoras have now replaced birthday tiaras (and I'm sure Kate would have access to some pretty nice ones), but I will certainly keep this in mind when my next birthday comes up!
