This Just-Released ‘House of Cards’ Trailer Will Give You Chills

All hail Madam President.

Netflix just released an official teaser trailer for the new (and final) season of House of Cards, leaving us with no doubt that Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) is ready to rule the country world.

In the gripping teaser, Underwood gives a speech to the U.S. armed forces and the American people. “My first 100 days as president have been difficult,” she says. “I lost my husband. We were about to celebrate 30 years together.” We don’t yet know the circumstances of Frank Underwood’s death, only that his wife doesn’t seem to be too upset about it.

But it’s the next shot that will really give you goosebumps. Speaking to someone privately (who? We have so many questions), the cold-as-ice president declares: “The reign of the middle-aged white man is over.”

The trailer also features Washington, D.C., newcomers Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as two power siblings, Annette and Bill Shepherd, who apparently had some sort of (presumably super shady) deal with Frances. Check out the trailer below:

House of Cards season six hits the small screen on November 2.
