Monday night will mark Jessica Biel’s first appearance at the Primetime Emmy Awards as a nominee. Being that Biel is one of Hollywood's most fitspirational stars, it makes sense that The Sinner star has been majorly prepping for the red carpet at the gym. The 36-year-old shared her butt-toning workout on Instagram over the weekend, and it's no joke to say the least.

In the Instagram video, Biel does a series of pistol squats with some impressively heavy-looking weights. “Hey, Emmy, my butt is coming for you. (Assuming I can walk after these pistol squats).”

While Biel makes the move look relatively easy by executing it in perfect form, her personal soundtrack in the video proves otherwise - you can hear her grunting in the background!

Biel’s trainer, Ben Bruno, also shared a clip of her squat workout on Instagram, describing her execution of single leg squats as “seriously impressive.” He also reveals that Biel has been “training really hard” for the red carpet. “I’m very excited for her and just hope she’s not so sore that she can’t sit down for the show,” he jokes in the caption.

As for Biel's diet, don't assume the mother-of-one has been following a super strict regime in preparation for her big night. In the past she has revealed that she stays away from crash diets, and that moderation is key. "I'm not all-out anything," she told the Los Angeles Times about her relaxed approach to eating.

However, Biel does avoid certain foods that don’t leave her feeling great. "Honestly, I just feel better when I don't have gluten or wheat or dairy," she said. "My digestion is better, I feel better, I have more energy.”

Instead, Biel noshes on things like Paleo pancakes (“with some cashew or almond butter on top with some local honey”), chicken-apple sausage, quinoa, veggie burgers, salmon, chicken, gluten-free pretzels with dairy-free almond ‘cheese’ dip and lots of greens.

While it’s up to The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to decide whether Biel will go home with an Emmy , one thing is for sure – she has definitely scored herself a more finely tuned physique!

The 2018 Emmy Awards air on NBC Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
