Justin Bieber Apologized to Jojo Siwa After Telling Her to Burn Her New Car
2018 was definitely the year of random celebrity feuds we never saw coming, from Jessica Simpson and Natalie Portman's misunderstanding to Kim Catrall's public spat with Sarah Jessica Parker the Sex and the City cast. And now, Justin Bieber vs. former Dance Moms star Jojo Siwa? We're scratching our heads, too.
On Saturday, December 22, the now-YouTube sensation was gifted a personalized BMW for Christmas that was designed with her face on the hood of the car and colorful splashes of paint splattered all over the car. West Coast Customs, an automobile customization shop in California, was responsible for Jojo's Pimp My Ride-style car, and posted an image of the final look on the company's official Instagram, which caught the eye of Justin Bieber who wasn't impressed at all.
"Burn it," the singer wrote in the comment section of West Coast Customs' photo. As if his first comment didn't clearly express his dislike for Jojo's car, Bieber followed up with another "Burn it" comment.
Of course, Bieber's comments ruffled a few feathers, including Jessalynn Siwa's (Jojo's mother) who told Biebe to "burn your own things."
Bieber would know all about custom cars, as the singer gave his Mercedes Benz G-Wagon a festive Christmas makeover last year. "Someone just asked me if I was in the Christmas spirit and then I pulled up in this," he said in a video before debuting the Santa Clause-themed car.
However, Bieber apologized to Jojo on Twitter on Sunday, writing, "@itsjojosiwa I have nothing against you it was the car and the colors I didn’t like I really hope you didn’t think it was malicious or mean spirited." Jojo accepted his apology and offered Bieber a spot to perform at her 16th birthday party.
"it’s all good bro! you can perform at my 16th birthday party and we’ll call it good!" she responded. To make light of the situation, Jojo posted a photo of her sitting in her custom convertible with a life-sized Justin Bieber cutout board and captioned the photo "burn it."
