Justin Bieber Is Now Being Blamed for Ruining a Canyon in Iceland
A scenic canyon all the way over in Iceland was recently shut down, and some are saying it’s because of none other than Justin Bieber.
Justin has been dealing with some mental health struggles lately, so this might be just another thing that he has to worry about.
Justin Bieber has been having a tough-enough time lately-from opening up about his mental health struggles to working through his trust issues with wife Hailey Baldwin-and now he’s also being pointed to as the reason a canyon in Iceland is deteriorating.
Biebs filmed his 2015 music video “I’ll Show You” at the scenic Fjaerárgljúfur, and earlier this week, a representative from the Environmental Agency of Iceland said that Justin’s vid is the reason for the influx of visitors to the previously lesser-known canyon.
The increase in tourists has, according to Lonely Planet, “wreaked havoc on its fragile vegetation,” forcing local authorities to close it down. The canyon will be closed to visitors until June, with the hope that the paths and vegetation will improve after some relief from foot traffic.
I personally don’t see how this is Justin’s fault, so excuse me while I spend the next few minutes rewatching the “I’ll Show You” music video to show my solidarity with JB.
