Billie Eilish is a Grammy-winning, James Bond theme-singing, bona fide superstar and Justin Bieber says that he'll make sure that she doesn't fall into the perils and pitfalls that he did when he rose to fame. In a new interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1, Bieber said that he's ready to help her with anything and that he wants her to know that he's just a call away.

"[I'll] let her do her thing and if she ever needs me, I'm gonna be here for her," Bieber said. "Just protecting those moments because people take for granted encounters."

Eilish shared a clip from the interview, which is set to air on February 15, on her Instagram, writing, "Stream changes."

"I just wanna protect her, you know?" Bieber added. "I don't want her to lose it. I don't want her to go through anything I went through. I don't wish that upon anybody. So, if she ever needs me, I'm just a call away."

Fans may be surprised that the two are friends as well as collaborators, since their music is so different, but according to NME, the two met up at Coachella and jammed out to Ariana Grande. Bieber appeared on a remix of Eilish's hit "Bad Guy." Before that, Eilish said she was a huge fan.

"We talked about making some stuff," she told Billboard of their friendship. "It was crazy, though. The first thing he DM'd me was a screenshot of — I guess he scrolled up and saw a message I had sent in 2014." What was on that message? It wasn't a gushing fan message, like so much about Eilish, it was refreshingly straightforward: "Hey, Justin. I just wanted to talk,'" she recalled. "'How are you? Please answer.'"
