Kai Lenny Rescues French Bulldog During E-Foil Surf Session (Clip)

Apparently, Kai Lenny’s got a thing for animals.

First, he was towed behind a horse (ridden by his wife, Molly) on his hydrofoil in Indonesia; now, he’s (electric) hydrofoiling in New York with a dog onboard.

Yep, a dog; check out the clip below.

Captioning the clip, Kai wrote:

“Quick one day stop in New York. Almost lost NOODLES ?????? on our little e-foil tour around the waterways.”

The Frenchie, “Noodles,” nearly bails from the e-foil. But Kai’s got quick hands; he grabs the dog, and yanks him back onto the craft. Luckily, Noodles – who appears to be living the high life, per their Instagram account – was wearing a hot pink doggie life vest.

Commenting on the clip, surf world notables wrote:

“Hahahah noodles noooo!!!” – Nathan Florence

“Great save!! ????” – Erin Brooks

“Casual lifesaver” – Peter King

However, as is usually the case anytime a dog hops on a surfboard, there were a handful of commenters with pitchforks condemning the clip, citing animal cruelty:

“FRENCHIES DIE IN THE WATER!!! Please please don't surf with you Frenchie. It will end badly.”

“Animal abuse for the gram ur so cool.. kook”

“Noodles needs to stay on land”

The great “should dogs surf?” debate rages on.
