Kaley Cuoco Celebrates Major Milestone With Daughter Matilda: ‘Best Year of Our Lives’

Kaley Cuoco has shared some seriously cute photos to mark another major milestone in her daughter Matilda’s life.
The Big Bang Theory star has offered fans an inside look at her experience with motherhood several times over the last year. She invited them in again on Saturday, March 30, as she and her partner, fellow actor Tom Pelphrey, celebrated their daughter’s first birthday.
In a montage of photos and short videos that Cuoco posted on Instagram, The Flight Attendant actress shared several sweet moments from Matilda’s first year of life. The snapshots included images showing Matilda during her first few days in the hospital, sleeping beneath a cozy blanket in a car seat, experiencing her first Christmas and playing with bubbles. Several photos showed the child cuddling with her loving parents as they gazed adoringly at her.

“Best year of our lives,” Cuoco, 38, wrote on Instagram, adding that her daughter is “a gift from above” who has “brought the deepest perfect joy to our entire family!”
“Dada and I love you more than we could possibly ever explain. I cannot wait to see who you become, but for now, please stay my precious 1 year old forever,” Cuoco’s Instagram caption continued. She also thanked Pelphrey, 41, for “being the best daddy (besides my own) the world has ever seen,” and wrote of their daughter, “She’s perfect.”
Cuoco and the Ozark actor have been together since 2022. While Cuoco told Entertainment Tonight that their first meeting was “love at first sight, the 8 Simple Rules alum has said she doesn’t intend to get married again following her divorces from Ryan Sweeting and Karl Cook.
Cuoco and Pelphrey announced they were expecting their first child together in October 2022. After Matilda was born, Cuoco said during a June 2023 appearance on the Smartless podcast that they were both interested in growing their small family even more.
"We're not 20 anymore," Cuoco said at the time. "We were like, 'We doing this or not?'"
