Kaley Cuoco continues to wear sneakers with her fancy dresses
Kaley Cuoco has always made a strong case for the sneakers with dresses look. And she’s at it again.
On Wednesday, the actress attended a Panera Bread event in a frilly Tanya Taylor dress paired with crisp white sneakers. She also appeared on Extra in the same outfit. And no, the sneakers weren’t just for walking from the car into the studio/event. She proudly wore these bad boys on the red carpet and in front of the camera.
The dress in question is what makes the look work — the multilayered and multipatterned blue floral frock was whimsical and casual enough to pair with tennis shoes. In fact, the dress was meant to be worn with flats. On the designer’s website, the model sporting the dress is wearing flat gladiator sandals. Sneakers are a little different, but Cuoco is not totally off target.
The white sneakers featured a big red heart on the side of each shoe. And it’s not like she threw on a crappy old pair of trainers. Give the girl some credit — these are $347 Chiara Ferragni Collection shoes.

Cuoco’s personal style seems to be pairing simple enough sneakers with a wild dress. At the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, she wore a dress from Australian designer Manning Cartell with sequins and cleavage-baring sheer detailing paired with basic black and white Dior Fusion sneakers (she changed into heels inside, though).
In September 2016, Cuoco wore simple silver sneakers to the Longines Masters Gala. But they were mostly covered by her hippie print Mary Katrantzou maxi dress.

The sneakers she wears are almost always designer. In May 2016, Cuoco wore plain black and white Chanel tennis shoes with a sheer black dress for the CBS Upfronts. And at the 2016 SAG Awards, she wore a sexy black cutout Romona Keveza gown with the Dior sneakers again during the show (she opted for strappy heels on the red carpet, though).
We love what this tells us about the Big Bang Theory actress: that she won’t sacrifice her comfort to please the masses who expect her to be perfectly peppy in a pair of sky-high stilettos all the time.
