Kansas City Chiefs Reveal Blinged Out New Super Bowl Rings With Over 500 Diamonds

The Kansas City Chiefs pulled out all the stops designing their Super Bowl LVIII championship rings to mark the team's second, back-to-back win as well as the third in five years. And not only are the pricey pieces of jewelry adorned with 529 diamonds and 38 rubies, but they feature a load of cool details to boot.

The rings were presented to the team during an event on Thursday night, more than four months after the Chiefs bested the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. In specs posted to Instagram, each ring is said to feature 505 round diamonds, 19 baguette diamonds, five marquise diamonds, and 38 custom-cut rubies for an overall total of a whopping 14.8 carats.

Among the cool Easter-eggs are four large marquise diamonds to represent the four total Super Bowl titles in the franchise history, 39 diamonds spelling out the word "world" for the team's 39 touchdowns scored in the 2023 season, and 70 diamonds spelling out "champions" as tribute to the 70 points scored in the three playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl.

Another very cool feature is that the top of the ring opens to reveal the game-winning "Tom & Jerry" play, with 17 miniature gold leaf "confetti" in the shape of the Vince Lombardi Trophy superimposed over a tiny field to commemorate the 17 points scored in the AFC championship game.

In other words, not a detail was spared in the making of the rings.

"This is what greatness looks like," the team captioned another post with even better angles of the impressive baubles.

And of course, there were also plenty of photos of the team, including tight end end Travis Kelce and MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes modeling their new bling along with their two previous Super Bowl rings. "THREE RING KINGS," the account all-caps posted a couple of photos of Kelce and Mahomes unboxing their new rings.

The Chiefs will only have a few weeks to bask in the glow of their new jewelry before training camp for the 2024 season starts up soon. Whether or not the fourth time will be the charm remains to be seen, but it's going to be hard to top the 2023 rings.
