Kanye West Reportedly Filmed 40-Minute Apology Video Following His Multiple Indiscretions

Kanye West is reportedly giving apologizing another go following his slew of indiscretions as of late—pertaining, in particular, to his rash of antisemitic behaviors.
The "Stronger" rapper apparently hired a camera crew not too long ago to help him put together a formal apology, inside sources told TMZ. The final product, which features the rapper talking directly into the camera the entire time, reached a length of 40 minutes or so.
The insiders claimed the message—which they also imply was unscripted, and at times, difficult to understand—is meant to be released before his upcoming joint album with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures, suggesting it may be more of a publicity ploy or attempt at damage control than an attempt at a genuine apology. Vultures is currently scheduled for Feb. 9, though the album has been pushed back several times already.
In case you need a refresher, West has issued a series of antisemitic statements over the last couple of years, leading to the loss of his Adidas partnership, suspensions from Twitter and Instagram, and, of course, widespread public outcries.
Amid all of that, he's also come under fire for lashing out at other celebrities, including Shaq and Lizzo, for "unsafe" practices in the unaccredited school he founded, and for ripping a woman's phone out of her hands as she filmed him out in public and hurling it down the street.
He's already apologized for the antisemitic remarks several times, most recently in a since-deleted Instagram post written in Hebrew, which was criticized for its inaccessibility to non-Hebrew speakers, as well as for speaking to "any pain [he] may have caused," in lieu of admitting to and acknowledging pain he has definitively caused.
Unfortunately, he tends to offer a half-baked apology shortly before spitting out another egregious take, like the end of 2022, when he apologized for a particularly heinous and antisemitic tweet just a couple of months before telling Alex Jones, “I like Hitler.”
