Kanye West shows off 'big slide energy' with new massive Yeezy shoes on Twitter
Kanye West’s now-infamous “tiny slides” debacle is not going away anytime soon.
West took to Twitter Thursday evening to troll himself over the matter by wearing what appear to be enormous Yeezy slides. They’re the same stye as the gray pair he wore to 2 Chainz’s wedding to Kesha Ward two weeks ago, except this new version is three or four times the size.
are the slides big enough 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/3sVRpSzHyj

Despite West’s fashion moment at the wedding in a fresh mint green suit by Louis Vuitton, Twitter users chose to hone in on Kanye’s tiny “orthopedic” shoe choice instead. Earlier this week, West attempted to backpedal on the style choice by saying his shoes were worn the “Japanese way,” tweeting an image of a graphic that read: “Your heal sould extend 1~2cm off the back of the wooden sole.”

On Thursday night, the rapper debuted not only his enormous Yeezy slides, but also sneakers (except they seem more like plush slippers than actual sneakers). Might West, known for breaking the boundaries of traditional fashion with his Yeezy line, be onto a new trend? After all, he was the one who debuted the now ubiquitous clear PVC boots before Chanel and was on the heels of the biker-shorts trend, before “it” girls like Bella Hadid starting sporting them.

Van Gogh cut off his ear. Kanye wore giant flip flops. Both tortured geniuses. Fascinating stuff. pic.twitter.com/glLPkbjeWl

If the trend takes off, its clear West gets bragging rights.
