The Kardashians and Jenners Make an Appearance at the People's Choice Awards After Wildfire Evacuation
The show must go on. After tweeting and volunteering about the California wildfires, members of the Kardashian-Jenner family made an appearance at the E! People's Choice Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday night. They weren't there just for a good time, however. They were there to maybe collect some hardware — Keeping Up with the Kardashians was nominated for Favorite Reality Show and Khloé had her own nomination for Favorite Reality Star.
E! reports that Kris Jenner was particularly excited about the night. Before the event — and the fires — she encouraged fans of KUWTK to vote for the long-running show.
Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloé were snapped at a table with Jenner. Kendall and Kourtney were also in attendance. The family's putting on a brave front as their hometown of Calabasas is being surrounded by flames along with many other Southern California communities. Before the awards show, many members of the family encouraged their social media followers to help out in any way they could.
During the ceremony, Keeping Up with the Kardashians took home the award for Favorite Reality Show. Kim took her time at the podium to offer even more words of encouragement to everyone working to contain the fires and dedicated her family's award to heroes battling the wildfires.
"As horrible as this has been, it's been amazing to see the spirit of everyone involved," she said. "Action is necessary. So anything that we can do to help the many organizations — no form of help is too small. We must continue to reach out and help each other in these trying times. We would like to dedicate this win to all of the fire fighters, police offers, and first responders."
