I found seven lookalikes starting at $18.
I’m happy to report that the temperature has finally (if just for a moment) dropped in Los Angeles. Over the Halloween weekend, I was greeted by chilly winds and weather that had me digging through my pile of knits, only to discover that between closet cleanouts and moves I had lost a few staple pieces — including a style Kate Hudson wore last week.
When the actress took to Instagram a few days ago, she shared a festive martini and a perfect fall sweater. Her oversized turtleneck screamed autumn, from the squash color to the English ribbing, and made me crave weather I could bundle up in. So with this weekend’s weather granting that wish (and my closet in dire need of a timeless turtleneck) I set out to find styles similar to Hudson’s, and discovered seven sweaters you can grab today starting at just $18.
The Drop Side-Button Cropped Turtleneck Sweater, $18 (Originally $45); amazon.com
Treasure & Bond Turtleneck Sweater, $38 (Originally $59); nordstrom.com
Anrabess Oversized Turtleneck Sweater, $43 (Originally $60); amazon.com
Lillusory Oversized Turtleneck Sweater, $43 (Originally $60); amazon.com
Nordstrom Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater, $125 (Originally $169); nordstrom.com
Anrabess Oversized Turtleneck Sweater
$60
$43
Anrabess’ turtleneck is a dead ringer for Hudson’s, with the same oversized fit, dropped shoulders, and classic autumnal shade (though it’s also available in 31 other colors). Plus, this pick is adored by more than 2,400 Amazon shoppers, who say that the on-sale sweater is “fashion-forward and cozy.” “This sweater looks great and is versatile in my wardrobe,” wrote one fan, explaining that “it can look dressy or casual.” Others were impressed by the quality, saying that it “looks much more expensive than it is” and feels “extremely comfortable.” “[It’s] not itchy and very flattering,” they wrote. And per another customer, “this sweater feels like butter.”
Treasure & Bond Turtleneck Sweater
$59
$38
Over at Nordstrom, Treasure & Bond’s cotton-blend turtleneck sweater is on sale for just $38. This is a loose sweater — a little less chunky than Hudson’s — and features ribbed details at the neck, sleeves, and hem. According to shoppers, this sweater is “just slightly oversized but not completely ridiculously large,” with another customer adding that it has a “comfortably, slouchy” vibe. They explained that that relaxed fit paired with the lightweight material makes it easy to style, writing that it “tucks well into higher-waisted jeans and pants,” unlike chunkier knits. Plus, this is “super soft,” said another fan, with one person writing that it “feels like cashmere but [is] so much cheaper.”
Saodimallsu Oversized Turtleneck Sweater
$39
Saodimallsu put a twist on the classic style by adding puffed sleeves to the oversized silhouette, making the everyday staple feel a bit more elevated. And while Amazon shoppers loved that look — “I get lots of compliments when I wear this sweater,” wrote one — many couldn’t stop talking about the high quality. “Nice tight weave for warmth without the bulk,” said a person who raved that the $39 sweater “doesn’t look cheap.” Another fan said that the “warm and cozy” sweater “has washed really well,” adding that it has matched everything in their closet from jeans to a black maxi skirt.
