Kate Hudson says it's 'unfortunate' that Botox, fillers are 'so expensive': 'People should do what makes them feel good'

Kate Hudson makes no judgments about what someone wants to do with their face.

The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actress, 43, appeared on Dear Media's Breaking Beauty podcast, where she chatted with co-hosts Carlene Higgins and Jill Dunn about the wellness and beauty industry. When the conversation turned to cosmetic enhancements like Botox and fillers, Hudson said she has no qualms about any of it — as long as people understand what they're getting into.

"Oh, God, do whatever you want," Hudson said. "I don't have any judgment towards anybody who wants to play in that stratosphere, it's so fun. Lasers, Botox, filler ... I think it's unfortunate that everything is so expensive and that not everybody can play in that, but there's so many great things and fun things you can do. If someone wants to go play in that, by all means, have fun. I don't judge any of that stuff. I actually think it's kind of awesome."

Hudson explained that "we're all aging" and that "a lot of people…have a hard time with filters and Photoshopping" now — but that this phenomenon of wanting to change one's appearance is "not new."

"From the beginning of time, women have been into rituals that made them feel youthful and young," she said. "If there's something deeper going on and it's really a challenging thing for you, then I think you need to go to a therapist and talk about why you're chasing your past.

"We're all going to get older and if someone wants to get Botox because it makes them feel like their forehead looks a little tighter, I think that's all good," Hudson continued. "I also think if someone wants to go ruin their face, then that's their prerogative. People should just do what makes them feel good."

This is not the first time the Fabletics founder has spoken out about plastic surgery. In a 2014 interview with InStyle, she echoed her judgment-free philosophy, explaining, "If someone wants to go get butt implants, then sure, go get butt implants. The real question is, how do they treat the person next to them? Are they a**holes or are they awesome?"

She also owned up to making tweaks to her behind — via photo editing, that is — in a July 4, 2016 Instagram post. In the caption of a photo of herself in a patriotic bikini, she wrote, "From my airbrushed ass to yours... Happy fourth!!!"
