The Royal Fab Four (also known as Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry) made a joint appearance at Buckingham Palace today, marking their first joint cameo of 2019 and their first since Christmas Day. The two couples joined the Queen, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and other royals at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles' investiture as the Prince of Wales.

The title of the Prince of Wales is usually given to the heir apparent, the sovereign's eldest son. Prince Charles earned the title when he was nine years old in 1958, but he was formally invested with the title by his mother, the Queen, on July 1, 1969. It seems today's reception, hosted by Her Majesty, is a few months early.

Regardless of the timing, the royals looked fabulous for thier gathering in Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Sussex went for a metallic brocade shift dress with a white Amanda Wakeley coat and nude pumps, while the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a light blue button front dress, reportedly by a private dressmaker.

The other royal guests looked equally sharp, with the Queen in a regal purple look by Stuart Parvin, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall in a green Bruce Oldfield ensemble, and the celebrant himself, Prince Charles, in a pinstripe suit, according to royal correspondent Emily Andrews.
