Kate Middleton is back in skinny jeans — see her outdoorsy-chic look

While Meghan Markle is working bold berry hues into her maternity style, sister-in-law Kate Middleton is going green in more ways than one.

The duchess wore a dark olive green ensemble for a day of gardening during a public appearance at King Henry’s Walk Garden in London on Tuesday. Fresh from celebrating her 37th birthday on Jan. 9, the royal layered a Bracken tweed jacket by the Irish clothing brand Dubarry over a cranberry-hued turtleneck for the outdoorsy event.

But it was her skinny jeans — a Middleton staple — in a matching dark khaki tone that’s bound to turn heads the most. Paired with See by Chloé suede boots (this similar style is on sale for $267, down from $445), the slim-fit jeans showed off her enviable post-baby figure nearly nine months after giving birth to Prince Louis. The pants are said to be from Zara, the brand behind Kate’s go-to olive green jeans, which she sported at a separate gardening excursion in October.

Kate — who spent the day making birdhouses and pizza with local children — will have more opportunities to show off her glam take on the great outdoors. Kensington Palace announced Tuesday that she’ll be helping to design this year’s garden for the Royal Horticultural Society.

“The garden will build on Her Royal Highness’s passion for the outdoors and the proven benefits that nature has on physical and mental health,” the palace noted on Twitter. “The Duchess is a strong advocate for the positive impact that nature and the environment can have on childhood development.”
