When deciding what to wear to all of your holiday festivities this year, look no further than Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out on Tuesday wearing a gorgeous red, black, and white tartan skirt to host a Christmas party with her husband, Prince William, at Kensington Palace for families of military personnel.

The tartan skirt is designed by Emilia Wickstead, a designer Middleton has worn numerous times in the past. She paired the midi skirt with a classic black cardigan by Brora and topped it off with stylish suede black boots. The outfit is festive, feminine, and chic. What more would you expect from the Duchess?

The skirt is perfectly on trend for 2018 too. It’s a major throwback to the ’90s skirt trend popularized by Cher from Clueless, and one that was spotted all over the runways during fashion week this year.
