Once reserved exclusively for dads vacationing in the Bahamas and Indiana Jones, fedoras haven’t exactly been a hit with the fashion-forward crowd in decades. That is, until now.
In arguably her riskiest sartorial choice of all time, Kate Middleton stepped out in a fedora that’s making us question everything we know about the style. In her first appearance of 2020, Kate wore the controversial hat that everybody loves to hate, and — dare we say — she made it look good.
This isn’t your dad’s fedora. It’s made with wool and a pheasant feather wrap, plus boasts a slightly wider brim than the one you’re used to seeing on guys who depend on their hats for hairline-hiding purposes, Kate’s topper looks undeniably chic. Paired with a dappled Roksanda coat in her favorite silhouette, she kept it classic with the rest of her look.
