Kate Middleton Goes Sunny in a Yellow Dress and Hat at Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving
Kate Middleton dressed like a modern princess again this morning for the U.K.'s national Service of Thanksgiving during its Platinum Jubilee. The Duchess chose a yellow monochrome look, pairing a Emilia Wickstead dress with a Philip Treacy hat. William wore a suit alongside her.
Their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis skipped out on the service after attending Trooping the Colour yesterday.
Kate started her Platinum Jubilee fashion off with a white blazer dress by Alexander McQueen for Trooping the Colour. She paired it with a dramatic two-tone hat by Philip Treacy. Her three children made their carriage debut alongside her, and they all matched in blue.
Kate and William will be missing any birthday celebration for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter, Lilibet, due to work commitments. (Lili turns one on June 4.) The couple will be attending Platinum Jubilee events in Wales on behalf of the Queen then.
Page Six reported on Thursday afternoon that William and Harry weren't likely to spend any one-on-one time together outside of events. One palace insider told the outlet, “At the moment, it does not look likely that Harry and Meghan and William and Kate will meet up separately during the Jubilee celebrations. There is certainly nothing in the diary at the moment.”
The national Service of Thanksgiving today marks the first time that Meghan, Harry, William, and Kate have publicly reunited since Meghan and Harry did their final event as working senior royal family members in March 2020. This is the first time Meghan, Harry, and their two children have been together in the U.K. since they moved to the U.S. in 2020.
