While most people went back to work this week following the winter holidays, the royal family is still on Christmas break, and this morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted attending church at St. Mary Magdalene, along with Queen Elizabeth.

For her first public outing of 2019, Kate wore a vibrant blue Catherine Walker coat, paired with a boxy clutch, navy pumps, pearl earrings and a thick headband, which is quickly becoming the Duchess's signature accessory.

If the coat looks familiar, it's because Kate wore it last year during the royal tour of Norway. As What Kate Wore points out, the design may have been altered, as it was previously a maternity style.

Last January, the Duchess paired the look with black pumps and gloves:

During the same visit, she also paired the coat with brown boots, gloves, and a fur hat.

Will and Kate braved the cold to walk to church in public view, but the Queen rode to Sunday services in a car.

Here she is departing St. Mary Magdalene, wearing a peach coat with fur cuffs, a matching hat and black gloves. She accessorized with simple pearl earrings, a multi-strand pearl necklace, and what appears to be a diamond and gold brooch.

While Prince William will return to work on January 9th, visiting London's Air Ambulance Charity in celebration of the organization's 30th anniversary, the Queen's likely had her first engagement of the year today. According to royal blogger Gert's Royals, "On 1st Sunday of January she presents Queen Elizabeth Prize for Academic Excellence to a student from Springwood High School in King's Lynn," which is fairly close to Sandringham. As it is a private event, there are no photos.
