Kate Middleton is "very chilled at home" and isn't a "pushover."
An insider says the duchess and Prince William are just like any other parents (um, only royal, obviously).
Attention everyone wondering what Kate Middleton is like when she's out of the spotlight: incredibly chill, apparently. An insider just spoke at length to People about the duchess' life behind closed doors, and it turns out she's just a regular "busy mom" (you know except...also royal...).
The source says Kate is "very chilled at home," and that "it’s a normal, busy family home with kids running around and knocking things over. There’s no airs and graces." Oh, and "when you see her behind closed doors with the children, she’s a very confident mom, and she’s no pushover. The children get told off if they act up."
When it comes to Kate's personal style at home, she keeps things pretty laid back: "There are no blow-dries—it’s always hair up in a ponytail," the friend says. "She’s either in her gym clothes, or a dress and sneakers, very little makeup, apologizing as she’s late for the school run before dashing off. It’s the life of a working mom with three young children—just a different sort of day job to most."
The source also adds that Kate wants to keep her kids "grounded" and "keep their reality in check," and that she and William are basically like any other couple. One local who seems to have overheard their conversation at a pub told People, "They were talking about home life and the children—just like any other parents on a night out. You were just struck by what a normal lovely couple they are."
