Kate Middleton and Prince William Will Take George and Charlotte to Their First Day of School This Week
Summer vacation is quickly coming to an end for the Cambridge family, as Prince George and Princess Charlotte prepare to head back to school later this week on September 5.
While William and Kate's only daughter previously attended Willcocks Nursery, this year she'll be enrolled at Thomas's Battersea, a tony London elementary school that her older brother already attends.
In honor of the milestone, both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to accompany the royal siblings to the school on their first day. We're keeping fingers crossed a photographer will be there to document the occasion, similar to when Prince William brought Prince George to his first day at Thomas's in 2017. (Kate was unfortunately unable to attend, as she was pregnant with Prince Louis and suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of extreme pregnancy-related nausea).
Back in May, when Kensington Palace officially confirmed the news that Charlotte will be enrolled in Thomas's "reception year" this fall, the school's headmaster issued a statement about his royal pupils.
"We are delighted that the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September."
Charlotte, too, is reportedly looking forward to starting the new school year. An "insider" source recently told People that Charlotte is "so excited" about attending Thomas's. "She can’t wait to be with George at big school."
