Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Their Kids Are Now on Their Second Summer Vacation in Scotland
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren't the only royals taking late summer trips this month. Kate Middleton and Prince William were photographed with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis this morning at the airport.
The family was seen disembarking the 8:45 a.m. FlyBe flight from Norwich to Aberdeen, Scotland. Daily Mail has photos and video of the group. Charlotte was in a checkered dress, George was in a striped top and shorts, and Kate was in a sweater and skirt. She carried her youngest son Prince Louis.
While a Kensington Palace spokesman declined to provide details on why the family was in Scotland (the spokesman said, "We do not comment on what they do with their private time as a family"), the family is believed to be making their annual trip to Balmoral to visit the Queen.
Kate and William flew commercial with their children for this trip, and they were pretty discreet about it. A passenger on the plane told the Daily Mail that "the family were sat right at the front. I fly this route all the time and we were non the wiser. No one knew they were on the flight."
This is not the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's only vacation this summer. The family went last month to Mustique. It was there on the private Caribbean island that they celebrated their son George's 6th birthday.
A source told The Sun that “it is incredibly private and incredibly discreet but not remote. They know and trust the staff who work there and they are creatures of habit. Kate used to go there, the Middletons used to go there. The family love it.”
