Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Kids Flew Commercial to Scotland
Kate Middleton, Prince William, their three children, and their nanny were photographed exiting a budget commercial flight today.
They were seen walking on a tarmac, leaving a FlyBe plane that reportedly flew from Norwich to Aberdeen.
William carried their bags and held Prince George's hand, Kate carried Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte was seen walking between them.
Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their three kids appear to have taken a commercial flight from Norwich, England to Aberdeen, Scotland, according to photos and video footage published by The Daily Mail. The family of five was seen on the tarmac leaving a plane from FlyBe, a British budget airline, and being escorted to their cars. The outlet suggests they could be on their way to visit the queen and Prince Philip at Balmoral Castle, which royals often do in the summer.
A clip shows the Duke of Cambridge toting their bags while holding hands with six-year-old son, Prince George, who wears a striped polo and light beige shorts. Little sister Princess Charlotte, 4, follows closely behind in a checkered dress. Duchess Kate is in the back of the group, carrying one-year-old Prince Louis in her arms. She wears a billowy midi skirt and has her hair up in a ponytail. The Cambridges' nanny, Maria Borrallo, is beside her.
According to FlyBe's website, Norwich-Aberdeen flights start at £73 ($89) but can go as high as £754 ($916) for a one-way ticket. Although members of the royal family often use charter planes when traveling for official business, it's not uncommon for them to fly commercial, especially when it's for personal trips. William was once seen in economy seating in 2014, and Kate was reportedly spotted on a budget flight after Zara Tindall's wedding. Prince Harry was just photographed on a British Airways this May.
Even the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently got flak for using private jets in Europe, have flown coach to Nice, France for previous New Year's celebrations. They also flew commercial for their royal tour of the Pacific in 2018. Similarly, Kate reportedly flew home via British Airways after work engagements in the Netherlands in 2016.
